Greek adventure started from Athens and the first stop Santorini. After a swift cable ride up the volcanic cliffs we ventured into the dazzling white buildings of Fira. Fascinated with the shopping and selecting unique souvenirs. We searched out the blue dome church (St John the Baptist Cathedral) finding artist shops along they way. Overhearing the blue domes were in Oia and jumped into a taxi bus to that town. Friendly locals provided directions to see the blue domes and celebrated the beautiful island with lunch on the rooftop. Cheers to a beautiful amazing island!

Celebrity Infinity set sail in Athens and then visited Santorini, Thessaloniki, Kavala, Ephesus and Mykonos.

Thessaloniki – Macedonian city that has a deep sense of pride in their heritage with ancient roots going back to Alexander the Great. My take away from the tour is that it was in a lot of wars starting with Macedonians, Romans, Byzantine, and Ottoman rulers. The people of Thessaloniki have lived through tough hardships including the Great Exchange and the Jewish Deportation.

Kavala – The best day with a private sailing tour along the Kavala Coast. Started the trip viewing Old Town and the huge Aqueduct through the city. Our companions on the boat was a wonderful couple from New Jersey. Spent the whole day floating in the blue Aegean sea. Had the pleasure of citing a large dolphin on our farewell trip back to the dock.

Ephesus – Best ancient Roman city in the world with
- Odeon hosting music concerts
- Domitian Temple first temple dedicated for a human
- Celcius Library biggest library in the ancient time
- Amphitheater with 24.000 people capacity and St. Paul preached;
- Hercules pillar, Nike statue.

Mykonos – Wind, wind, and more wind!! Persistent winds all day long providing the energy for the windmills. Found the small private beach north of the island with amazing blue water and (don’t look) some fish.

My Heart was Full ! BEST WEEK EVER!
